Community Guidelines

Last Updated: May 27, 2026

Porchside is a community for meeting people through real, in-person activities. These Community Guidelines explain what we expect from everyone who uses the Service and what is not allowed. They apply to all profiles, listings, messages, photos, ratings, and other content, and to your conduct at activities. We enforce these Guidelines actively. Violating them can result in content removal, suspension, or a permanent ban, and serious violations may be reported to law enforcement. By using Porchside, you agree to follow these Guidelines and our Terms of Service.

1. Who Can Use Porchside

You must be at least 18 years old to use Porchside. Use your real identity, keep your profile accurate, and maintain only one account. Do not use Porchside if you have been previously banned from the Service or are barred from using it under applicable law.

2. Treat People With Respect

Porchside only works when people feel safe and welcome. Be courteous to hosts and fellow attendees, communicate honestly, honor the commitments you make, and respect other people's boundaries, time, and property. Treat others the way you would want to be treated at an activity.

3. Zero Tolerance for Objectionable Content and Behavior

We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. The following are strictly prohibited on Porchside and at activities arranged through it: harassment, bullying, threats, intimidation, or stalking; hate speech or content that attacks or demeans people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, age, sex, gender identity, or sexual orientation; violence or the incitement of violence; sexual harassment, unwanted sexual advances, or the solicitation of sex or sexual services; nudity, pornography, or sexually explicit content; any content that sexualizes, endangers, or exploits minors, which we report to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and to law enforcement; content that depicts or promotes self-harm, suicide, or eating disorders; illegal activity, including the sale or use of illegal drugs or weapons; and content that is fraudulent, deceptive, or designed to scam other users. There are no exceptions.

4. Be Authentic

Use accurate information and your own photos. Do not impersonate another person, misrepresent who you are, or create fake or duplicate profiles. Do not post content that belongs to someone else without their permission.

5. No Spam, Scams, or Unauthorized Commercial Use

Do not use Porchside to spam other users, send unsolicited promotions, run pyramid or referral schemes, solicit money or financial information, or conduct commercial activity that we have not authorized. Hosting paid activities is permitted only through the Service's payment features and subject to our Terms of Service.

6. Stay Safe at Activities

Activities happen in the real world, and your safety is in your hands. Meet in public places when you can, tell someone you trust about your plans, and use the in-app safety tools. Do not bring weapons or illegal substances to activities. If you ever feel unsafe, leave and contact local emergency services. Porchside does not screen users or run background checks, so use your own judgment about who you meet and what you do.

7. Reporting and Blocking

If you see content or behavior that violates these Guidelines, report it. You can report a user, activity, message, or photo from the relevant screen in the app, and you can block any user to stop them from contacting you or seeing your activity. Reports are confidential. You can also email us at support@porchside.co. If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first.

8. How We Enforce These Guidelines

We review reported content and act on violations within 24 hours. Depending on the severity, we may remove content, issue a warning, restrict features, suspend an account, or permanently ban a user, and we may remove abusive users from the Service. We may take these actions with or without notice and at our discretion. We may also withhold or reverse payouts in cases of fraud or abuse, and we may report unlawful conduct to law enforcement. If you believe we made a mistake, you can appeal by contacting support@porchside.co.

9. Changes to These Guidelines

We may update these Guidelines from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the app or by email. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect means you accept the updated Guidelines.
